If viewed with Figure 2 it illustrates the five trunk positions, i.e. rotated to the left 36° or 18°, neutral position, and rotated to the right 18°, or 36°. Strength values in two contraction directions, left or right for the healthy group (HG) and concave or convex for the idiopathic scoliosis group (ISG), are shown below each position figure.
